Copyright Crackdown On Pirate Ring Tones

The surging popularity of pop tune ring tones on mobile phones has prompted a crackdown by the Australasian Performing Rights Association, which is attempting to shut down unlicensed song offerings from overseas Web sites. The National Rugby League has also moved to protect its copyright by stopping ring tone operators from selling or distributing any of its football brands.
